Selection Criteria: Rags wanted essentially a cadet who had skated the line a time or two but wasn’t a bad apple. Essentially a bad boy who hadn’t been caught. A pilot from CS-12 would be a plus.

Rags had some interesting escapades and wanted someone who looked like him. This selection took a lot of discussion with several AOC’s but eventually CS-12 AMT TSgt Megs Morales’s nomination was seconded by several other AOC’s. The question was never asked as to why Cadet Jackson was nominated and will never be. I was honored that Rags asked me to give his saber to Cadet Jackson.
