Selection Criteria: The oldest cadet in the Class of 2018
C/Capt Brian Kelly had been the Fall Squadron Commander for the 13th Cadet Squadron. He is a graduate of the USAFAcademy Preparatory School and was the oldest cadet in the class.
He was given LtCol (Ret) Darrel Knutson’s saber at Doolittle Hall on 100 Night. He was selected because he was the oldest cadet in the Class of 2018. His was the very first saber given out and interestingly, he was the last cadet to arrive. He only arrived long enough to sit down before being called up to receive his saber.
